Anytime was a good time for games with her family. Her competitive spirit when playing Mahjong, Scrabble, Canasta and many other games was clearly passed down to her children and grandchildren. Like her mother, Annetta was an avid reader and loved to play games. In 1989, she took a position as a clerk in the work release program of the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department, where she stayed until her retirement in 2005. She then worked at Bob’s Arts and Crafts in the Hoffman Heights Shopping Center, followed by a position at Cost Plus Imports at Mississippi and I-225, in Aurora. Originally, Annetta was a stay at home mom. In 1974, they permanently settled in the Denver/Aurora area. She married the late William Wilbur Cox in 1957, and they lived together in the Pittsburgh area before living a short time in Maryland. Annetta graduated from Taylor-Allderdice High School in 1956. She was born to Alice Annetta Lloyd and the late David Thomas Lloyd, August 1938, in Pittsburgh, PA. Annetta Marie Cox, 76, of Aurora, passed away Sunday December 14, 2014.
